Yoga therapy is a personalised and holistic approach to help individuals who are suffering from physical, mental issue or emotional issues.
Yoga therapy bridges traditional yogic wisdom with modern, evidence-based research and understanding, to provide a comprehensive approach to healing and well-being. Yoga therapy differs from a yoga class because it treats the client as an integrated system of body and mind. My role as a therapist is to consider my client’s overall health and lifestyle, as well as the interplay between their physical and emotional well-being. I can then apply various yoga ‘tools’ including:
Asana’s (postures)
Pranayama (breathwork)
Meditation and relaxation
Mindfulness and awareness
Yoga philosophy and Vihara (lifestyle advice)
It is my aim to empower individuals with tools and practices that can be used for self-care to progress toward better health and freedom from suffering. Guiding individuals on a pathway to balance.
Benefits of Yoga Therapy:
Managing chronic pain and tension
Reducing stress, anxiety and trauma responses
Alleviating symptoms of depression
Improving physical fitness and functionality
Supporting neurological conditions
Enhancing mood and overall quality of life
